The Green Bay Packers could be without linebacker Nick Perry for the remainder of the season, just another injury for the defending NFC North champions to deal with at the midpoint of the year.

The rookie first-round draft pick had surgery on his injured wrist, according to Lance Allan of WTMJ in Milwaukee and Allan speculates Perry is likely headed for injured reserve.

Perry injured his wrist originally in Week 2, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, but he had been sidelined in recent weeks with a knee injury.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy indicated on Monday that Perry was seeking a second opinion but it’s not known if he was going to have his wrist or knee looked at. Allan’s report would indicate it was for the wrist. Perry had been playing with a cast on his wrist until the knee injury and he had use of his fingers.
