The Arizona Cardinals will bring in free-agent linebacker Joey Porter for a visit on Tuesday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The Cardinals lost Karlos Dansby to the Miami Dolphins already, and the team also saw safety Antrel Rolle depart.
Porter, a four-time Pro Bowler, was let go by the Dolphins, who tried to release him last week. He could help generate more of a pass rush for the Cardinals. As Schefter pointed out, Porter was in Pittsburgh when Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt was there.

Kind of a silly question if you've been following the Packers for the last 5 years. Why not?
- player is old - Porter is 33 - check
- Porter wants a ton of cash - check
- Porter is a 'me' person, not 'Packer People' - check
Even if TT wanted Porter, anyone worth their salt in negotiations would wait and wait and wait before even contacting him. There isn't a demand for this type of player (see above) so why show any interest because they'll hold out for money - wait till the last minute and see if you can get him for a minimum deal.
Carrying a second kicker can be tricky for teams because it costs them depth elsewhere. But if a team has a guy with a strong leg who consistently will bang kickoffs into the end zone, it can be worthwhile.

No idea why TT is not making a run at Porter. He could be a good replacement for Kampman.
