Team prepared Kirk Cousins in case he's needed Brad Biggs
Robert Griffin III has not taken any first-team reps in practice this week as the Washington Redskins prepare Kirk Cousins in the event they need to lean on their other rookie quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Griffin has participated in individual drills and thrown with receivers on the side, but the Redskins gave Cousins the bulk of work throughout the week, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.
It casts doubt on the possibility Griffin will start a week after suffering a sprained knee in an overtime victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Griffin is expected to be a game-time decision. The Redskins are hopefully Cousins is ready if they need him.
