Washington seeking some veteran help Brad Biggs
The Washington Redskins are in pursuit of free agent safety Madieu Williams after hosting him on a free-agent visit Friday.
Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports the team has offered a contract to Williams, who has turned into a journeyman after he was a free-agent flop for the Minnesota Vikings. Williams played in 15 games for the San Francisco 49ers last season but was used sparingly. Originally, he was a second-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2004.
The Redskins cut bait with another free-agent failure earlier this offseason when they released safety O.J. Atogwe.
