Interview for defensive coordinator job complete Brad Biggs
Rob Ryan wrapped up his interview with the St. Louis Rams today but he left without receiving a contract offer.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported that Ryan’s meeting with the club is complete and now it remains to be seen if an offer comes. Ryan interviewed to become the defensive coordinator on Jeff Fisher’s staff. The position was essentially vacant last season after Gregg Williams was suspended indefinitely by the NFL for his role in the New Orleans Saints’ bounty scandal.
There have not been any other prominent candidates for the position and most have figured for about a week that the job was going to Ryan. That still could happen. Ryan has a good relationship with Fisher dating back to when the head coach was a safety for the Chicago Bears and Buddy Ryan was the defensive coordinator.
