The New Orleans Saints did not tender a qualifying offer to restricted free agent cornerback Leigh Torrence.
But they still wanted him to return. The Saints made that a reality today when they re-signed the veteran cornerback to a one-year contract, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network.
Torrence returns and provides the Saints with some depth in secondary as well as a solid special teams player. He appeared in only five games last season, mostly on teams, before a shoulder injury forced him to injured reserve in late November. Torrence had 10 tackles and one-half sack.
La Canfora also reported that in their quest to do homework on available defensive linemen the Saints will bring in veteran end James Hall for a visit on Friday. Leonard Little and Jamal Williams were already reported to be visiting.

uniforms it will be. I think it's great. It was the Packers' first championship season. I'm really happy that they're going into the history of the NFL's greatest franchise rather than the clown costumes you see nowadays.
