St. Louis Rams center Scott Wells underwent arthroscopic knee surgery earlier this month to repair torn cartilage.
Wells was injured during a practice in November after he returned to action following foot surgery. He was able to manage the injury through the final six games. According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Wells had surgery to the same knee that he required surgery to last spring during the club’s offseason program.
Wells joined the Rams in free agency after a long stretch with the Green Bay Packers. He admitted at the end of the season that it was a “frustrating” year. The hope is Wells will be fine well in advance of the club’s offseason program, which begins in April.
