Patriots running back Shane Vereen broke a small bone in his wrist and will miss the next few weeks, according to a report from FOX Sports' Jay Glazer.
Apparently, Vereen broke the bone early in the first half. However, he finished the game as New England's most effective runner with 101 yards. He also caught seven passes for 58 yards.
Vereen will have surgery on his wrist Monday. He was reportedly experiencing numbness in his wrist following New England's 23-21 win over Buffalo.
Stevan Ridley opened the game as New England's starting running back but lost a fumble early. Vereen, mostly, and LeGarrette Blount replaced Ridley from then. If Ridley remains in Bill Belichick's doghouse this week, then Blount could be in line for a start.
The Patriots also recently signed running back Leon Washington.
