Veteran lineman reduces base salary $1.8 million Brad Biggs
The Philadelphia Eagles were not going to bring offensive lineman Stacy Andrews back unless they could work out a deal for him to restructure the contract he signed a year ago.
Mission accomplished.
The veteran has agreed to reduce his deal, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. He lowered his base salary from $2.95 million to $1.15 million, a savings of $1.8 million for the club. Per the report, Andrews will still be paid a roster bonus of $4.1 million.
Now, the Eagles just need him to play like he’s worth $5.25 million this season.

Dude, that's cold. Funny as hell, but cold!
