Restricted free agent could miss training camp without extension. Terry McCormick
Mike Wallace has been absent for all of the Pittsburgh Steelers' off-season work, not signing his one-year restricted free agent tender offer of $2.7 million.
But Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com says progress is being made on a new deal for Wallace.
For the Steelers, it is good news that progress appears to be happening with Wallace, because if no deal can be reached, his absence is likely to extend into training camp.
In other Steelers related news, the club released tackle Jonathan Scott on Thursday.
