Gator QB worked out for NFL personnel today in Gainesville. Joe Fortenbaugh
Whether or not Tim Tebow’s new throwing motion has improved his ability to play the quarterback position remains to be seen. But there is one skill the former Florida QB possesses that remained constant Wednesday morning—the guy can draw a crowd.
Approximately 3,000 fans showed up to watch the former Heisman Trophy winner work out for NFL personnel at Florida’s pro day on Wednesday. And with another step in the draft process out of the way, Tebow’s next challenge may involve taking on the Big Apple.
Per a report from Chris Mortensen of ESPN.com, Tebow has landed an invite to New York City for April’s NFL draft.
It’s no surprise that the league would want college football’s most popular player in attendance during this year’s draft—which has been moved to prime time on Thursday (round 1) and Friday (rounds 2-3).
What is somewhat surprising is that after watching quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Brady Quinn sit around uncomfortably for hours in front of the cameras as they waited to be drafted, the NFL would consider putting Tebow—who isn’t considered to be a top-15 pick—in that same position.
But here’s the catch. According to a recent report from Alex Marvez of FoxSports, the NFL may want to have some players likely to be drafted at the beginning of the second round in attendance for the cameras—since round two kicks off on Friday night.
Whether he gets drafted in the first round or the second, you can bet that just like at the Senior Bowl, combine and Florida’s pro day, lots of people will be very interested in watching.

He better pack more than an overnight bag. Unless he agrees to switch to TE, he may not get picked until Saturday.
Is Brady Quinn still keeping a seat warm for him in the green room?
Another reason for the invite is Panini - the trading card company - wants him there so they can get the jersey/hat he wears to put in trading cards, and to get his first autographs after being drafted.
Preacher Tebow simply must attend the 2010 NFL Draft.
Senator Tebow is not only the finest quarterback in the 2010 Draft, but the best overall prospect AND the greatest player in the history of college and pro football.
Fox News Analyst Tebow is a surefire bet to win the Super Bowl most years - provided he's not playing with a bunch of sinners and infidels.
Preacher Tebow has established himself clearly as The Way, The Truth, and The Light for the NFL, America, and the leader of mankind as a whole.
Thanks to Rev. Tebow, the South's gonna rise again!!!!!!!!!!
