Report: Texans' Cushing gets green light

Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing has been given full clearance to return from his ACL injury suffered last season, per ProFootballTalk.com.

While the Texans are likely to ease Cushing back into action, he should be ready to go and play in the season opener, since he will be ready to practice from the start of training camp, as he has been given the go-ahead from his surgeon, Dr. James Andrews.

Cushing suffered the torn ACL on a block from New York Jets guard Matt Slausen.
