Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware had surgery on his foot Thursday to shave down a bone spur and he wasn’t the only Dallas Cowboy to have a minor procedure.
The Dallas Morning News reported that safety Alan Ball and center Duke Preston also had ankle surgeries. Ball was one of the team’s best special teams performers and made three starts. Preston was inactive for nearly the entire season and is slated to be a restricted free agent.
Nose tackle Jay Ratliff already had minor surgery on both elbows. All players are expected to be back for the offseason program.

special teams here, wherever I can help. It really doesn’t matter to me. I’m not one of those guys. I just want to be on the field playing and just helping the team out wherever it’s needed.”
