Search to replace Fred Pagac ends Brad Biggs
The Minnesota Vikings have found their man.
A nearly two-week search for a new defensive coordinator has ended as the team is expected to hire Alan Williams, according to Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network.
Williams had a strong interview this week, and he should fit in well with coach Leslie Frazier. Williams was the defensive backs coach for the Indianapolis Colts and knows the Cover-2 scheme Frazier wants to implement.
Previously, Williams worked in Tampa Bay and he has ties to Tony Dungy, like Frazier.
The Vikings removed Fred Pagac as defensive coordinator last week and reportedly offered him a position as linebackers coach. They interviewed Raheem Morris and Mel Tucker for the job, and the Chicago Bears denied the Vikings permission to interview their secondary coach Jon Hoke for the job.
