Slowly some of the veteran right tackles on the street could be lining up some work.
Tyson Clabo signed with the Miami Dolphins earlier this week and Winston Justice will visit the Detroit Lions today, reports Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Detroit probably would have liked to grab a left tackle with the fifth pick in the draft but the top three went in the first four selections. So, that’s left the team considering other options after mainstay Jeff Backus retired. The Lions are projecting Riley Reiff to be their starting left tackle but things are less clear on the right side.
Justice would be the favorite if he signed to replace Gosder Cherilus, who departed for the Indianapolis Colts via free agency. Corey Hilliard and Jason Fox are in the mix right now.
