Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray is a candidate for the head coaching vacancy at Texas Tech, and interviewed with the school's athletics director on Monday, per reports.
Gray, who has been well traveled in the NFL and has been Tennessee's defensive coordinator the past two seasons, is a native of Lubbock, Texas and has a charity there.
Gray's Titans defense has struggled at times this season, ranking 27th overall, but has fared better in the second half of the year.
According to reports, Kliff Kingsbury and Chad Morris are also candidates for the vacancy created by Tommy Tuberville's departure for Cincinnati.
