Contract negotiations for an extension have begun with Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, reports The Tampa Bay Times.

McCoy is entering the final year of his deal and is set to earn $15 million this season. Locking McCoy up for future seasons would be seen as a priority given his production thus far.

McCoy has had two Pro Bowl seasons thus far and recorded 9.5 sacks in 2013.
