In the latest turn in the contract dispute between star cornerback Darrrell Revis and the New York Jets, Revis' agents have accused the organization of lying after owner Woody Johnson said that tey declined the team's ofer to bring him to a meeting last Friday at a diner.

"It's a blatant lie," agent Neil Schwartz told the New York Daily News.. "Whoever said that is a blatant liar. I will meet with Woody any time, any place, anywhere. It will be my pleasure. Why wouldn't I want Woody Johnson at the meeting?"

Per the report, Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum insists that he made the offer to bring Johnson and that Schwartz declined because the meeting was technically-oriented.

"The Jets have never given us a proposal with one dollar in signing bonus or one dollar in fully guaranteed money," Schwartz said.

Tannenbaum released the following statement: "As I said at the start of training camp, our offer to Darrelle Revis conveyed that we are flexible on how the guaranteed money is structured, including the areas of signing bonus, roster bonus and option bonus. This situation revolves around the fundamental disagreement in total compensation."

And Tannenbaum emphasized that Revis isn't going anywhere.

"We're not trading him," Tannenbaum said.

On that point, it appears both sides can agree. At least they can agree on something.
