Although the sternum injury to Tampa Bay cornerback Darrelle Revis is not considered serious, a source indicated that Revis blacked out temporarily after getting hit during the Buccaneers loss to Carolina on Sunday.

Revis was taken to the locker room after the hit. A Buccaneers spokesman did not respond immediately to whether Revis experienced any head injury. On Monday, coach Greg Schiano said he didn’t believe the injury was serious, indicating that Revis should be available Sunday against Buffalo.

Beyond Revis, the team is expected to place linebacker Jonathan Casillas on injured reserve. Casillas is the 14th player to go on injured reserve.
