Jets cornerback's status uncertain for game vs. Steelers. Terry McCormick
New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis told the New York Daily News that he is still "in a fog" after suffering a mild concussion in last Sunday's win over the Buffalo Bills.
“It’s not my call. It’s the doctors’ call,” Revis said. “Whatever they say goes. I would try to be out there with a broken leg. They know that. It’s a competitive spirit in me that just wants to go out there and play. If I feel fine, which I do, then we’ll go from there.”
In order to be able to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Revis must not only be cleared by Jets team doctors, but also by an independent neurologist.
Jets coach Rex Ryan said that Revis would not even make the trip to Pittsburgh unless he is cleared to play.
