Rex Ryan: 'My wife is beautiful'

Not carrying his usual swagger into a press conference, a subdued New York Jets coach Rex Ryan refused to discuss the foot fetish videos that he and his wife apparently engaged in on the Internet.

"Obviously I knew this question is coming," Ryan said this afternoon during his usually scheduled briefing with New York reporters. "This is a personal matter and I'm not going to discuss it. This is a personal matter, I hope you can respect the fact I don't want to discuss it."

Ryan and his wife, Michelle, were reportedly featured in multiple foot fetish videos, which appear on Deadspin.

"My wife is beautiful," Ryan said. "We've been married for 23 years, and she's awesome."

Ryan declined to confirm or deny that he appeared in the videos, but the voice definitely sounds like him and it looks like his wife. Her profile matches information about her background as well.

In the video, the cameraman and the woman have an intimate conversation about her feet.

"This is a personal matter," Ryan said. "And I won't discuss it. I hope you can respect the fact that I really don't want to discuss it," Ryan said.

When asked how the videos got on YouTube, Ryan replied: "Again, this is a personal matter. I really do not want to discuss it."

Ryan was asked about his wife and he sharing the same fetish.

"I understand I'm going to get asked this question frontways, sideways, backways and every other way," Ryan said. "It is a personal matter."

Yes, but it has become a matter of public conversation.
