Running back Trent Richardon's minor knee surgery was a success,the club announced on Thursday.
Richardson's surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews, and is the running back's second knee procedure this year. He had a meniscus injury repaired in February.
“Trent Richardson underwent a successful routine arthroscopic procedure today on his left knee. It was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Fla," the Browns' statement from head coach Pat Shurmur said. “We anticipate that Trent will make a speedy recovery, and we are hopeful that he will be ready for our Week One game against Philadelphia.”
