Problem apparently originated from scratch on his elbow. Terry McCormick
Tennessee Titans backup running back Javon Ringer was wearing a special apparatus to draw an infection out of his left arm on Friday after spending four days in the hospital.
But Ringer is fortunate, because he says the infection could have caused him to lose his arm had it not been caught and treated in time, he tells TitanInsider.com.
“I was OK until I heard that I could have lost my arm. That kind of let me know that, wow, this is kind of serious,” said Ringer who was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night and was not discharged until Wednesday.
Ringer still isn't 100 percent sure how his elbow got infected, but said it probably originated from a small scratch.
