Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will have surgery to repair torn ACL and MCLs in two weeks, according to a report from the Boston Globe.

Gronkowski injury was sustained last week against the Browns when safety T.J. Ward's helmet collided with his knee. The hit ended the tight end's season.

The main reason Gronkowski has to wait this long for the surgery is so the swelling in his knee can subside. Throughout the offseason, Gronkowski's status for the start of the 2014 season will certainly be monitored.
