The St. Louis Rams got relatively good news on starting offensive tackle Rodger Saffold.
Saffold dislocated his left shoulder Thursday night, but X-rays were negative and he's expected to return at some point during the preseason, perhaps in the next few weeks.
“We’re still doing tests," Rams coach Jeff Fisher told St. Louis reporters today. "He’s a little sore. He’s going to miss some time. He may miss a preseason game or two."
Saffold is transitioning to right tackle after playing left tackle for the previous three seasons.
It's a transition for him, but the process gets slowed down now as he'll need to get healthy before he can resume his acclimation to the left side.
