Rodgers advances, still the favorite in Madden Cover Vote

Eight players advanced to the third round of the Madden 2012 Cover Vote contest Monday, a March Madness-like bracket tournament that will determine which NFL player graces the cover of the always-popular video game.

ICONBelieve it or not, Danny Woodhead is still alive.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won by the biggest margin, defeating Rams signal-caller Sam Bradford 76% to 23.9%.

In the other second round matchups, Jamaal Charles defeated Maurice Jones-Drew, Peyton Hillis knocked off Matt Ryan, Patrick Willis got by Hines Ward, Adrian Peterson took down Philip Rivers, Danny Woodhead advanced over Hakeem Nicks, Drew Brees edged out Mark Sanchez and Michael Vick dispatched of Andre Johnson.

The third round matchups are as follows:

Aaron Rodgers vs. Danny Woodhead

Jamaal Charles vs. Peyton Hillis

Drew Brees vs. Adrian Peterson

Michael Vick vs. Patrick Willis
