Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has already been declared out for Sunday's game with the Baltimore Ravens, the club announced on its website.
Roethlisberger, who suffered a shoulder injury in the Pittsburgh Steelers Monday night win over Kansas City, will give way to Byron Leftwich, who finished up in that contest.
It is not known how long Roethlisberger might be out as he has an injury to his SC joint in his throwing shoulder. Sunday's game will mark Leftwich's first start as a Steeler and his first in the league since 2009.
