Giants director of college scouting reportedly withdraws from consideration. Terry McCormick
New York Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross has withdrawn his name from consideration for the crosstown New York Jets general manager's job, per Brian Costello of the New York Post.
It is interesting that Ross takes his name out of the mix with the Jets, given that it would be a promotion for him without really even having to move.
When a candidate removes himself from the running for a job, it can often mean one of two things. Either Ross knew he wasn't going to get the Jets job so he pulls out, or in this case, he chose the stability of his current role with the Giants over running away to join the circus that is the Jets.
