Cornerback spends time visiting city, talking to staff. Terry McCormick
Stanford Routt's visit to the Buffalo Bills was enjoyable for the cornerback, who got a one-month jump into free agency because of his release by the Oakland Raiders last week.
“It was a good day,” Routt said via the Bills team website. “I got a chance to go and see the city a little bit, see the staff, meet a few of those guys and I like the atmosphere around here.”
Routt was at first slated to visit the Tennessee Titans, and though that trip still could happen, it has not been officially lined up yet as of Monday. Other teams said to be interested in the former Raiders cornerback include the Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.
