The Cincinnati Bengals are on the verge of re-signing veteran safety Roy Williams, perhaps as soon as today.
Williams agent told the Bengals' official Web site that a deal could be in the offing today.
“We’re working on finishing it today," Jordan Woy said. "It looks good. Hopefully we’ll have an announcement soon."
Williams is a four-time Pro Bowl selection who dealt with an ongoing forearm issue last season.
He played in only four games.
Nonetheless, the Bengals want Williams back.
Williams has a background with defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer from their days with the Dallas Cowboys.
