Winning a Super Bowl title is every NFL player's goal. But when that materailizes, it's only natural to take your goals a step higher.

Especially if you're Russell Wilson, a Super Bowl winning quarterback that just completed his second year in the NFL. Wilson came on strong as a rookie in 2012 and has since developed into what many consider to be a top-five quarterback.

Having such success early can change those long-term goals. And for Wilson, it's now not only about being great. It's about being the greatest ever.

"Why can't I be the best quarterback to ever play the game one day?" Wilson told ESPN Dallas. "I'm not right now. I've got a long way to go. But one day, you know?"

The last quarterback to win a Super Bowl in his second NFL season was Tom Brady, when the Patriots upset the Rams 20-17 in Super Bowl XXXVI. So Wilson's in good company when it comes to chasing greatness early in a career.

In each of his first two seasons with Seattle, Wilson has thrown for over 3,000 yards, finishing the 2013 regular season with 3,357 yards, 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also added 539 rushing yards and a touchdown, too.

In the 2013 postseason, Wilson did not throw an interception in either of Seattle's three games.

It's been a remarkable start for Wilson, who transferred to Wisconsin for his final season of collegiate eligibility after spending his first four years (including his redshirt year as a freshman) with N.C. State. Seattle took Wilson with the 75th overall pick in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft, with the expectation that he'd back up Matt Flynn as a rookie.

He wound up winning the starting job in training camp.

Wilson has already achieved greatness in his first two seasons in the NFL. With each goal accomplished, another one pops up. With a Super Bowl title under his belt, he now apparently has turned his attention to the greatest prize of all.
