Fresno State running back has another strong workout Aaron Wilson
Virtually every NFL team was represented in California on Wednesday, and Fresno State running back Ryan Mathews didn't disappoint.
Solidifying his already high draft stock, the 5-foot-11, 217-pound runner had a strong Pro Day workout. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 to 4.48 seconds, according to NFL.com.
Per the report, Mathews also had a 34-inch vertical leap and a 4.1 short shuttle.
Every NFL team except for the Dallas Cowboys attended the workout session.
San Diego Chargers general manager A.J. Smith was a prominent presecne at the workout. That could be a potential fit for Mathews.
The New England Patriots have also displayed some interest in Matthews.
Mathews rushed for 1,808 yards last season and scored 19 touchdowns, finishing his career with 39 touchdowns.
He's regarded as a late first-round draft pick.
Meanwhile, cornerback A.J. Jefferson, who had a positive scouting combine, stood on his workout results from Indianapolis.
