The Chargers were without leading rusher Ryan Mathews during Wednesday's practice as they prepare for Sunday's Wild Card round game against the Bengals.
Mathews has an ankle injury that kept him away from contact.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Mathews was wearing a protective boot, something he did a week ago as well.
Mathews will probably be OK as most NFL players are banged up this time of the year. Mathews missed two practices a week ago and then ran for 144 yards against Kansas City.
