Marijuana arrest last season catches up with him Brad Biggs
New Orleans Saints linebacker Lawrence Wilson has been suspended for one game and fined an additional check by the NFL.
Larry Holder of CBSSports.com reports the penalty for Wilson for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. We’ll have to wait and see if Wilson is still on the Saints’ roster when the regular season begins to serve that suspension with them.
You may recall Wilson was a sixth-round draft pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2011. He was a member of the team’s practice squad when he was pinched for marijuana possession after he was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 85.
The Panthers dumped Wilson shortly thereafter and he landed with the Saints this spring.
