Saints bench left tackle Charles Brown in loss to Rams

New Orleans Saints left offensive tackle Charles Brown was benched during a loss to the St. Louis Rams.

Rams defensive end Robert Quinn had two sacks and a forced fumble as Brown was penalized twice, nullifying one touchdown.

He was benched in the third quarter, replaced by right tackle Zach Strief with Bryce Harris entering the game at right tackle.

“I saw enough,” Saints coach Sean Payton told reporters. “I saw enough, period. It was enough penalties, pressures, sacks. It was enough. At some point you can’t just keep watching it. Feelings get hurt, it is tough.”
