The New Orleans Saints have been courting Nnamdi Asomugha but he’s not the only cornerback on the team’s radar.
Tracy Porter, a hero in the Saints’ Super Bowl XLIV victory, was back for a visit on Monday, according to Aaron Wilson of Scout.com. He did not sign a contract but it is clear New Orleans is considering multiple options.
Porter spent last season as a member of the Denver Broncos on a $4 million, one-year contract. The 26-year-old suffered a series of injuries and made only four starts. He’s also been connected with the Oakland Raiders this offseason.
We’ll see where the cornerbacks sit when the music stops playing in free agency.
