The New Orleans Saints cut ties with two veteran wide receivers who recently joined the team, releasing Steve Breaston and Patrick Crayton.

The Saints cut several other players, including defensive backs A.J. Davis and Dion Turner, linebacker Chase Thomas, wide receiver Jarred Fayson and offensive guard Ricky Henry.

The Saints are counting on their young receiving corps like Nick Toon and Kenny Stills working in conjunction with Marques Colston and Lance Moore and tight end Jimmy Graham.
