The New Orleans Saints got down to 75 players on Tuesday by cutting eight players from their roster.
The Saints waived OL Manase Foketi, DE Rufus Johnson, QB Logan Kilgore, LB Kevin Reddick, DB Rod Sweeting and DE George Uko. They also terminated the contracts of TE Travis Beckum and LB Victor Butler.
This follows the organization releasing WR Andy Tanner, OT TY Nsekhe and S Ty Zimmerman, which happened on Monday.
Butler was the biggest name of the group to be released, though he dealt with an early ankle injury during the preseason. Butler spent his first four years with Dallas before joining the Saints in 2013. He tore his ACL last June and missed the entire year.
