In the early evening, ESPN reported that the Saints were looking to trade Darren Sproles since there were some potential suitors.
This came as a surprise to Sproles, who was previously told that he would be released as a cap casualty. Presumably waiting to hit the free agent market, Sproles seemed caught off guard in his response to the ESPN report on his personal twitter account.
"WOW!" Sproles wrote in one tweet.
He followed that one with, "The stuff u find out on twitter."
