Former Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens cornerback Samari Rolle reiterated that he plans to retire.

He told the Tennessean he hasn't filed his retirement papers yet, but plans to do.

Rolle has underwent two neck surgeries and doctors have recommended that he not play football anymore.

Rolle's four-year, $10 million contract was terminated by the Ravens last month.

The former Pro Bowl cornerback was sidelined all of last season with a neck injury.

“Being that I got to play 12 years and play in a Super Bowl, I got to do everything I wanted to do but didn’t get a ring,’’ Rolle told the Tennessean. “I am OK with that. I honestly wish deep down I could’ve gotten to stay with one team my whole career, but it doesn’t always work like that.

"But it is how it is. I had good people around me and very good coaches. I was fortunate. I have some great memories.’’

Rolle, 33, intercepted 31 career passes and was named to one Pro Bowl.

“I have gone to several doctors and been told it is not safe,’’ Rolle said. “After having two neck surgeries the same season, that really hurt my body a lot and has affected me. So, that’s where I stand."
