Great game by Alex Smith, he looked cool and calm out there. Eye level down field, Lombardi would be proud!!! Jimmy Raye opened up the offense to fit his strengths and what a difference. Arizona loses, Carolina loses (draft pick looking better every day), all in all a real good Sunday.

With 2 first round picks next year, in what should be a very deep draft as underclassmen come out before a wage scale is implemented, we should be in perfect position to fix this offensive line.

Not sure whether it's talent or coaching but the O-line really stinks especially in pass coverage. Frank is a great back and creates a lot of yards himself. If the niners line was playing better they would definately be good shot for the playoffs especially with our skill position players like VD and Crabs, although someone should tell VD to wait for the snap - every game he has 1 or 2 false starts.

I have to say Alex Smith has looked damn good the last 1.5 games. For the first time in his career he has looked calm in the pocket. I always think the best measure of a QB is how he looks when the fur is flying. Tom Brady always looks like the game slows DOWN for him when things get crazy, and even in pre-season Alex looked harried back there. Not in the last two games though so hopefully he has turned the corner. Now if Raye can just gameplan better for his strengths we may have something. Are Niner fans crazy to hope we have our QB after all? The thought of starting over again with Colt McCoy (no thanks) or Bradford (?) scares the crap out of me.
