Santonio Holmes could be out a while

New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes is concerned that he could miss at least four games due to a foot injury from last season.

.According to the New York Post, Holmes told friends that he could be sidelined for a while.

On the physically unable to perform list, Holmes could start the season on that list. If that's the case, he has to miss at least the first six weeks.

The Jets can turn to Stephen Hill, Braylon Edwards, Clyde Gates and others. It's not exactly a distinguished group.

None of it bodes well for the Jets' dueling quarterbacks, Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith.
