San Diego Chargers center Scott Mruczkowski had scar tissue cleaned out of his ankle last week as a followup scope procedure, according to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation.
Mruczkowski had surgery on his ankle this offseason.
This surgery is expected to accelerate the healing process and get Mruczkowski ready for the regular season.
With Nick Hardwich sidelined, Mruczkowski started all but three games at center last season.
