Seattle Seahawks tight end Anthony McCoy may have torn his right Achilles tendon.
He spent last season on injured reserve with a torn left Achilles.
McCoy got hurt in practice today, and the Seahawks fear the worst.
“Early indications are he hurt his other Achilles,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said of McCoy, who caught 18 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns in 2012. “If it is what they think it is, it’s just a real heartbreaker. He worked so hard to get back and all. If it was the same Achilles you might understand it but we think it’s the other one. So we’ll see what happens.”
