The Seattle Seahawks remain on the lookout for a quarterback to have behind Russell Wilson.
But they added one to the mix on Wednesday, signing Josh Portis to a two-year contract, according to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times. Portis spent about half the season on the practice squad last year after making the team as an undrafted rookie in 2011.
Seattle will still look for someone with experience to handle the No. 2 role behind Wilson after trading Matt Flynn to the Oakland Raiders in a move that freed up salary-cap space. The veteran market is getting thin. Rex Grossman re-signed with the Washington Redskins on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see what direction general manager John Schneider goes.
