Seahawks expected to release Sidney Rice

At some point in the near future, the Seattle Seahawks will release wide receiver Sidney Rice, according to a report from ESPN.

Rice tore his ACL in October and missed the majority of the 2013 NFL season. Though he'd been productive in the past, he was trending downward before the injury.

By releasing Rice, the Seahawks will save $7 million in cap space for the 2014 season.
