After a report indicated the Chicago Bears were confident about landing defensive end Michael Bennett, the Seattle Seahawks have emerged as the favorite to bring him back, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Bennett is regarded as the top free agent available in this year's group.
Bennett recorded 8.5 sacks during the 2013 regular season for the champion Seattle Seahawks.
When word got out that the Bears were serious contenders, there was some talk about Bennett joining the same team as his brother, tight end Martellus Bennett.
However, any family plans to go all in on the Bears may have to be put on hold.
