The Seattle Seahawks have placed defensive tackle Jesse Williams on injured reserve.

The former Alabama standout was carted off the field with a serious knee injury.

Williams has been dealing with knee problems since his time at Alabama.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks signed linebacker Marcus Dowtin and wide receiver Ronald Johnson.

Dowtin has played for the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and New York Giants.

Johnson has played for the San Francisco 49ers and Eagles.
