Seahawks to sign Jared Allen

It looks like the Seattle Seahawks will add a key veteran to its defensive line.

According to a report from ESPN, the Seahawks will sign veteran defensive end Jared Allen. The two sides are reportedly working on a deal, with an official contract possibly happening Thursday.

Allen has visited the Seahawks twice during free agency.

After spending his first four NFL seasons with Kansas City, Allen was traded to the Vikings for a first-round pick.

His career flourished in Minnesota, with Allen earning four of his five Pro Bowl honors with the Vikings.

In his career, Allen has recorded 554 combined tackles, 128.5 sacks, 29 forced fumbles and 17 fumble recoveries.
