Saints coach has been studying Colts as he recovers Brad Biggs
New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton is expected to be released from the hospital today after undergoing a three-hour surgery Monday.
Payton suffered a torn ACL and broken knee when he was rolled up on the sideline by tight end Jimmy Graham in New Orleans’ loss Sunday at Tampa Bay. It was a freak accident that highlights the dangers of standing along the sideline in an NFL game.
According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Payton was outfitted with an iPad in the hospital in order to study Sunday’s coming opponent, the Indianapolis Colts.
Payton said he was “all good” in his recovery. Hopefully, he’s not slowed too much from the rehabilitation that will follow.
